Whole Women’s Health v Hellerstedt – United Supreme Court Ruling

hffnewadminNews

To put it succinctly, the U.S. Supreme Court rendered a wrong ruling in this matter.   The court’s ruling was inconsistent with the facts of this case.  It appears that the court’s majority was persuaded by the issue of abortion and disregarded the nature of the case.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                Anyone who is a true advocate for the health and safety of a woman would have to agree that this decision ignored the intent and purpose of this state law.  When over 26,000 women suffer abortion related complications and over 3,000 women are in need of post-abortion hospitalization in a year, the court’s ruling that the medical standards and credentialing standards sought by Texas for abortion clinics placed an undue burden on a women’s right to an abortion, is irrational and absurd.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       In addition, this ruling impinges on a State’s sovereign right to regulate and monitor the health and welfare of its citizenry.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             The next President of the United States will appoint a Justice to fill the current vacancy in the U.S. Supreme Court.  How many more decisions such as this do you want rendered?   Therefore, if you can’t understand and see why you must vote in this Presidential election – read the majority and dissenting opinions of this case.  When you are done reading I am certain that you will cast a VOTE in this Presidential election.  Elections must have consequences!                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             http://www.aul.org/2016-scotus-abortion-case/                                                                                                                                            http://nation.foxnews.com/2016/06/27/supreme-courts-abortion-distortion-puts-women-risk http://www.scotusblog.com/case-files/cases/whole-womans-health-v-cole/ http://www.priestsforlife.org/government/supremecourt/2016-wholewomans-v-hellerstedt.aspx http://www.cnn.com/2016/06/27/politics/supreme-court-abortion-texas/
